Donations Support Programs & Activities to Enhance the Library

Have you ever:
  • used a pass that provides free or reduced entrance to museums?

  • enrolled yourself or a child in one of the award winning Summer Reading  Programs?

  • taken your toddler to a Sing-a-long or had a child participate in a vacation program?

  • attended a LiveWires program, or a Book Group Night?

  • come to a free library concert?

  • shopped for treasures in the Second Chapter Book Sale Room?

If so, thank the Friends by donating today!

Your contributions help the Friends support programs and activities at Reading Public Library.

The Friends of Reading Library Board is made up of people who love our library. We have have monthly, evening meetings filled with brainstorming, sharing of our unique strengths and camaraderie.

Our mission is to support library programs for all members of the community, to supplement library funding received from the town,
as well as to assist our talented library staff.

Please stop in to one of our meetings, usually held the 4th Monday of the Month. Check
with Library staff for a current schedule and come see what we are all about.

Go on the house tour like

these women. Borrow one of

our passes to local museums

and attractions, join a children’s, teen’s or adult's reading program.

Attend one of our events such as

a Toddler Sing-a-long, LiveWires, Summer Sizzlers/Winter Warmers, author visit or concert.

Encourage your child to participate in a children's or teen's vacation program. Shop in our Book Sale Room for bargains on more than just books.

All of the above are sponsored by the Friends.
